Father's Day Coin / Pencil Holder Craft

This is a great father's day gift that children can make out of recycled and found items.

Materials

• Clean, plastic juice / pop bottle
• Exacto knife
• 1x1" squares of tissue paper or tempra paints
• White glue
• Glitter glue
• Paint brush
• Hot glue
• Small pebbles, marbles, or fish tank gravel

Method

1. An adult needs to use the exacto knife to cut the bottle to desired height (2-3" for coin holder; 3-4" for pencil holder).
2. Use white glue to decorate the bottle with tissue paper or add some glue to the paint to help it stick to the bottle and paint it on.
3. To give the dish some stability, have an adult squeeze some hot glue into the bottom. While the glue is hot the child can drop a few pebbles into the bottom.
4. Allow glue to dry and it is ready to collect all of that change that ends up in Dad's pockets by the end of the day.
