Love-Note Fortune Cookies Craft

This craft requires a lot of fine motor dexterity. It is best suited to school age children or small groups of preschoolers.

What you need

• Craft foam or construction paper
• Hot glue or glue stick
• Clothes pin
• Small candies or toys (optional)
• Pen or marker
• Scissors

Steps

1. Cut out 4" circles (1 per fortune cookie) and various small shapes such as hearts, flowers, etc from craft foam
2. Take 1 circle and fold in half
3. Tuck a small love note, candy, or trinket inside the fold
4. Pinch folded circle in the center of round side of the folded circle. Fold the ends back to make a fortune cookie shape. Glue the ends together (hot glue works best for craft foam) and use a clothes pin to hold until dry
5. Once dry, decorate by gluing on small shapes of craft foam or colouring with markers
